Griesback Project
Defense Canada gave up some of its land west of 97th street and north of 137 Avenue in Edmonton to Canada Lands Development. Commercial and residential subdivisions are being built over the next 10 years.
Canada Lands Development focus for this area was to create an area where the military history could be emulated. Statues of several prominent military personnel will find their place here. This development is the first of its kind in the City over the last 20 year.
Carmacks was awarded the surface works for stages 2, 3, 4, 4B, 5, and 6 which includes concrete subgrade, granular base, concrete curbs and sidewalks and asphalt paving.
Work began in 2004 and was completed in September 2005.
