The new subdivision called Timber Heights includes 318 residential lots with a mixture of modular houses, prefab houses, and duplexes. There is also a 64 unit multi-housing complex on the east end.
Carmacks provided all aspects of construction including land clearing, site grading, complete underground servicing; road construction and paving; concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks, and shallow utilities.
Innovative dual trenching procedure along with cement stabilized subgrade was introduced to the Fort McMurray market to avoid severe settlement problems found in many housing developments in the area. The RM of Wood Buffalo is looking at making cement stabilizing a standard for future subdivisions.
