Calgary Ring Road-Northeast Public Private Partnership (P3)
The Northeast portion of the Calgary Ring Road, also called Northeast Stony Trail (NEST), was procured as a Public Private Partnership (P3). The Province of Alberta chose Bilfinger Berger BOT to develop the project, and Bilfinger chose Carmacks Enterprises Ltd. to provide the 30 years of road maintenance on this project.
Upon completion of this section of the ring road in October 2009, Carmacks will begin the 30 year contract for maintenance of the Stoney Trail from Highway No. 1 west to Highway No. 1 East plus the Deerfoot Trail through Calgary as it exists today.
